L'Abbate Balkan Partner, Paula Gart, to Speak to the Long Island Chapter of the American Institute of Architects

Garden City, New York, February 12, 2010 –

L'Abbate Balkan partner, Paula Gart, is scheduled to speak on February 16, 2010 at a meeting of the AIA Long Island Chapter, which will be held at the Chateau Briand, 440 Old Country Road, Carle Place, New York.  She will present a seminar entitled "Green Design - What Architects Need to Know to Survive."

Green design is not just cutting-edge anymore. It may be an industry standard imperative, impacting on both exposure to potential liability and profitability. This seminar will provide architects with advice regarding the roles and responsibilities to be sought, and those to be avoided, when practicing in this exciting area.  This seminar has been recently presented to other professional architectural and engineering groups.

Ms. Gart is a member of L’Abbate Balkan’s Design Professional Practice Group. Since its founding in 1981, L'Abbate Balkan has been serving the design profession and has been a recognized leader in the field of architects' and engineers' professional liability defense.
